Shark Diving Philippines was formed by Andrea Agarwal, the founder of Thresher Shark Divers on Malapascua. Always a shark lover, prior to coming to the Philippines her favourite gig had been when she filmed divers on the Caribbean reef shark chumming dive off Roatan, in Honduras. Oh, and the time she saw a whale shark on a dive shop staff night dive in Thailand! But Malapascua blew that away.
After first arriving in the Philippines in 2003 she travelled over the Philippines, looking for her perfect place to settle and teach diving. Soon after discovering Malapascua and the thresher sharks, she opened TSD, and the rest is history! Using the knowledge she had gained in her earlier travels, she incorporated booking other destinations into her customers dive packages, and in the nearly 20 years since she stared, she has personally booked and organised dive trips to the Philippines for well over ten thousand people. Endless divers have mentioned that the reason they came to TSD was the fast, responsive, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful replies they got back from Andrea.
